Holly Bossely's info: According to the US Census @@ 1855 Jacob 49; Magdalena 48; Philip 10 were all born in Germany and Magdalena 10; and Margaret 7 were born in Sullivan Co., NY. All living in town of Bethel, dwelling #123, made of logs, valued at 25 and visitation #129. They came to US c. 1845
"Not at home" written in the "occupation" block in the 1860 U.S. Census. This may be why Magdelena (wife) and Magdelena (daughter) names were wrong, and the daughter's age was wrong by 2 years.
