Richard Currey Jr. was born at Eastchester, November 4, 1709, and died at Courtlandtown, March 20, 1806. He married at Bedford, circa 1734, Elizabeth Jones, daughter of Nathan Jones, to whom he had been placed at service. She was born December 1711, died February 14, 1778. They lived at Bedford, removed in 1746 to Adams Corners, then in part of Dutchess County.
In 1750 they removed two miles south to North Lot #1 of the manor of Courtlandt, near old Peeksville. He amassed a large farm there, and had 475 acres at the time of the Revolution. He lived to be 96, and was buried in St. Peters Churchyard, VanCourtlandtville. --

Sarah, born April 30, 1736, married John Jones.
Rachel, born circa 1738, married William Lane.
Joshua, born circa 1740, married Eunice Travis. A Loyalist; removed to Gagetown, New Brunswick
** Stephen, born October ' 1742, married Frances Moore.
Jemina, born July 6, 1744, married Elijah Horton.
(Son) killed at Adams Corners by a falling chimney hit by lighting.
Phoebe, born circa 1746, married Joshua Sherwood.
Martha, born circa 1748, married John Sherwood.
Richard III, born February 19, 1750, married Sarah Ferris. One daughter, Elizabeth, b. 1777, m. 1797, Dr. Nathaniel Stanley. Ancestor of Philip F. Horne.
Elizabeth, born 1751, married Joseph Lee.
Mary, born circa l754, married John Smith.
Richard Curry buried Vancortlandtville, St. Peters Church.
Family Notes:
Richard Currev was born in 1679 or 1680. By 1685 his family was 1iving in Eastchestor, N.Y. In 1703 he married a daugh-ter of John and Mary Gee of Eastchester, who died shortly afterward. In 1706 he remarried again, to a daughter of Robert and Catherine Stivers of Eastchester. In 1712 he served on the Court of Sessions, and was elected the Eastchester town Constable. In 1715 he is last mentioned in Eastchester records. Shortly afterward he removed to Bedford or North Castle, N.Y. In May 1722 he sold his farm there to Michae1 Chatterton of Eastchester, and died a few days later. In June 1722, his sons were placed at service to be brought up.
