I am a descendant of Conrad Knack. Conrad's son Philip I married someone named Christina. From what I understand, they had many children together. I am descended from Philip I's son Johann. You wanted to find out Conrad's descendants, so here they are: Conrad Knack, Philip Knack I, Johann Knack, Frank Edward Knack I, Frank Edward Knack II, Betty Knack (Knack was her maiden name). There is actually an interesting story concerning this line of the Knacks. It was told to me by my grandmother Betty, who heard it from her grandfather Frank Edward Knack II. It goes as follows:
When Johann was a young man, they were drafting people for the war. To avoid being drafted, he decided to move to America. Before he left, he told one of his sisters (I don't know her name) that he was leaving for America, and he told her that she should tell the parents, Philip I and Christina, where he had gone. She thought it was a great idea, and she told him that she wanted to come along, too. So, since both of them were leaving, they decided to tell their parents. Their parents, as it turns out, wanted to come along, too. The parents then told the two living grandparents, Conrad and his wife, that they were leaving. Even the two grandparents wanted to come along. So in the end, they all moved to America. Conrad and his wife then died. Philip I and Christina had several more children, and Johann got married.
So anyway, if you are also a descendant Conrad and Philip I, then we must be 6th cousins. Wow. If you know anything more about the Knacks, please e-mail me at southpaw_canadian@@yahoo.com . I would really appreciate it.
