Reference Note 14 Missouri Obituaries & Death Notices 1851-1854, Vol. V, p.27 lists James born in Philadelphia July 4, 1781. He moved to Georgia as a youth, where he married. Moved to Christian Co, KY in 1807. Moved to Pettis Co., MO in 1837, where he died April 8, 1854. File from Linda Missouri, possibly from Norma Fritts (2/97). However, Norma Fritts also lists his birth date as June 1777 Reference Note 17 Ancestors & Descendants of Hiram G. Lacey & Sophia Sell, Compiled by Garland Howard Lacey, Washington, IL (1995), Printed by M&D Printing 616 2nd Street, Henry, IL 61537. "Laceys of PA" pp. 37-41, is by an unknown member of the Quinn family p.37 Wm. Lacey's family record book (~1700) records children of Henry Lacey: Mary & William (2nd mo, 21 day, 1663). Also Mary Palmit, daughter of Wil Palmit. Also seven children of William. Also arrival dates of family members. Also marriage of son, John to Rachel Heston p.39 After the Revolutionary War, John Lacey & family moved to Georgetown, MD, and then, in 1789, to Columbia Co, Georgia. General John Lacey also left an illigitimate son, a James K. Lacey, who went to Georgia with the family, Came to Ohio and later went to Pettis Co., MO, where he is supposed to have died about the beginning of the Civil War. p. 40 Gen. Lacey married Anastaria Reynolds, daughter of Col. Thomas Reynolds of New Mills, now Pemberton, in Burlington Co. NJ. on Jan18, 1871. This would make her birth ~1772, and she married at 13 (in 1785) 1840 Census of Christian Co. lists Jane Stuart in a house with one male (5-10), one female (20-30) and one female (70-80), presumably Jane.
