information and genealogy files - update April 10, 2015
Marinus Van Aken immigrated from Holland to Ulster County, New York just
prior to 1685. The name Van Aken is conspicuous among the early families of
Ulster County NY, or Esopus as it was more generally called in early days,
especially from the long line of descendants, now widely scattered and many of
whom attained distinction. The original spelling of the name is uncertain and
will be referred to as "VA" on this site.

Mathias van Aken Belgium - On my
completely renewed website, you will find genealogical information about
the Van Aken's whose history we can trace back to the 17th century
Bernardus Van Aken born 1687 and originated from the north of Belgium.
So far, we haven't found evidence of ties to Marinus Van Aken, but further
research may always reveal new facts. Anyway...
